With the release of Sylvia’s second RCA album, JUST SYLVIA, the single "NOBODY" sold two million copies and was #1 on all country music charts. It was awarded BMI Song of the Year for receiving the most radio airplay that year. "NOBODY" also reached #13 as a crossover hit on Billboard’s Top 100 chart and spent a total of 52 weeks on both charts. Recording for RCA until the end of 1987, Sylvia recorded six albums and garnered a total of 13 Top Ten and No. 1 songs, including "Tumbleweed", "Drifter" and "Snapshot".
In 1982, Sylvia was named “Female Vocalist of the Year” by the Academy of Country Music and was a Grammy nominee in the “Best Female Country Vocal Performance” category in 1983.
Join Sylvia at the Hershey Area Playhouse as she reflects the beauty and depth of her personal and artistic growth, while still captivating the legions of fans that propelled her to stardom.
Sylvia will be accompanied with composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist John Mock, who has worked with such notable artists as the Dixie Chicks, James Taylor, Nanci Griffith, Maura O’Connell, Kathy Mattea and Mark O’Connor. His orchestral arrangements have been performed by orchestras throughout America and abroad, including the London Symphony, the National Symphony and the symphonies of Atlanta and Nashville.
John will also be opening for Sylvia, sharing music selections through his elegant and unique concert presentation From the Shoreline, where John performs original instrumental compositions on the guitar, concertina, mandolin, and tin whistle. From the Shoreline captures in music and in photographs the heritage of the sea. Audiences are sure to enjoy the casual narration and storytelling, which enliven the characters and places upon which the music is based.

Follow Route 322 East into Hershey. Pass the Hershey Medical Center on your right. Turn right at the traffic light at Cherry Drive. Turn right at the stop sign onto Sand Hill Road. Make first left into the driveway of Country Meadows of Hershey. The theatre is on your left.
From the East:
Option 1: Follow Route 322 West into Hershey. Go straight at traffic light at Cocoa Avenue (Route 743). Turn left at the next traffic light at Fishburn Road. Make first right onto Sand Hill Road. Turn left into the driveway of Country Meadows of Hershey. The theatre is on your left.
Option 2: Follow Route 422 West through Hershey (Chocolate Avenue). Turn left at traffic light onto Hockersville Road. Go straight at the traffic light at Route 322. Turn right onto Sand Hill Road. Turn left into the driveway of Country Meadows of Hershey. The theatre is on your left.
From the South:
Follow Route 743 North into Hershey. Pass Fishburn Church on your right. Go straight at the traffic light at Giant Foods. Turn left onto Sand Hill Road. Turn left into the driveway of Country Meadows of Hershey. The theatre is on your left.
